Profile and Who We Are 

THE GENERAL SECRETARY AND ADMINISTRATOR  OF OUR MISSION

Mr. R. Rajasingh, our General Secretary and Mrs. Gnanam Rajasingh, our Administrator are the founders of Shalom Family Enrichment Mission with the vision “Peace to Families, Peace to India.”  Born in South India, Mr. Rajasingh accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 14 years. From the day one of accepting Jesus into his heart, Lord started filling him with His love for others. After his graduation in teaching, he took up teaching. While teaching in a school at Chennai, God called him to serve Him. He resigned his Government post and joined Scripture Union of India, a mission which ministers among children. After a few years, Mrs. Gnanam Rajasingh also followed the footsteps of her husband. A graduate in teaching, Mrs. Rajasingh was teaching Mathematics in a Government school in Chennai, and she resigned her job and joined Scripture Union. While serving in Scripture Union, God burdened them about Christian Families and they trained some of the volunteers to cater to needs of the families.

After serving in Scripture Union for 29 years, they retired and with some like minded families, in June 2007, they founded Shalom Family Enrichment Mission. The vision of this mission is “Peace to Families, Peace to India” and our mission statement is ‘Building Holistic Spiritual Christian Families based on Biblical values by working with Churches and Institutions, to bring Peace to India.’

They have designed their own methods of Family Ministry, a play way method, making participants play family oriented games, skits, case studies and discussions, which everybody enjoy apart from learning Biblical family values. All the Resource Persons, members and volunteers are trained now and then by the HQ Training Team of SFEM. Since family is the focus, Shalom does not conduct any conventions or crusades.
